Dear Neighbors,
Recently there have been a great many rumors floating around the neighborhood about a proposed housing project on the northern edge of the Fairfield sub-division. Vice President Steve Mannix and I have been working hard to find the ground truth on this proposed housing project. Monday evening at 7PM we are meeting in the Fairfield Elementary School Cafeteria.
Our guest speaker is Mary Kay Horoszewski, Executive Director, Virginia Beach Community Development Corp coming to talk with us about the plans for the now vacant school buildings. We will also share what we have learned since the last Fairfield Civic League meeting in May. Just this week I made a presentation to the Virginia Beach Council of Civic Organizations and expressed our concerns about the density of the housing project.
